Thanks, so you think that my small 2.5W tube amp can drive a Carnival 2.
I will be interested to get a Carnival 2, if it can be driven by my amp.
I had no luck using that amp to drive my RTi6 which is a big 6.5\" 9kg 89dB bookshelf.
It did make some sound buy it was so little I need to put my ear beside it.

Hi PinkPanter Yes it will sound better than your PC speakers simply because it use better drivers and for low volume listening it will be perfect ..however note that they are only 85db efficient so they will not go loud with a 2.5w amp (see our blog on amp-power-loudness and efficiency) In fact the Carnival 2 will sound much more powerful but then they are not so small as the Carnival 1 ..if looks is more important than sound go for the Carnival 1.

Hi, just a question on the Mordaunt Short Carnival 1.
I got a Chinese desktop Tube amp (Quinpu A1 2.5W/ch).
Which I modified and wired up my old woden PC speaker 3″, 1″.
So the amp is connecting straight to the speaker via 2 wires.
For my soft, low volume and all night listening in my room.
It actually pump out some good volume with that setup.
Just wondering if Carnival 1 will make this set up sound better.
Also if my small Quinpu going to drive this baby or not.
It can’t drive my big Polk Audio RTi6 6.5″, 1″, makes no sound.
